In order to explore the feasibility of using hazardous waste cathode ray tube (CRT) funnel glass to replace high density mineral aggregates in the radiation shielding concrete, various barite concrete samples were prepared with portland cement, ground funnel glass sand as the substitute for barite aggregates, and fly ash as mineral admixtures, and the rates of funnel glass for fine and coarse (5–10 mm) barite aggregate were 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and 10%, 20%, 30%, respectively.
