Photo-assisted catalytic uranium reduction is recognized as an innovative approach for the treatment of uranium-laden wastewater, yet it currently encounters challenges, including difficulties in carrier separation, a scarcity of active sites, and uncertainties regarding the catalytic mechanism. Herein, a novel Co 3 O 4 /P-PHI S-scheme heterojunction with well-defined Lewis acid and base sites was developed for efficient photocatalytic uranium reduction and methanol oxidation.
