Laser melting treatment was performed on the high velocity oxy-fuel sprayed cemented carbide coatings with a 5 kW continuous wave CO: Laser. The microstructure was analyzed by Olympus GX51 microscope, and the microhardness from surface to inside was measured by HXY-1000TAY micro-hardness meter. The results show that laser melting treatment can refine the microstructure of spraying coatings, and the hard phase of the laser melted layer distributes dispersedly.
