Skin injury refers to the disruption of skin integrity, resulting in the loss of normal tissue, which can occur due to wounds, diseases, or surgeries. The repair of skin injuries is a highly regulated process involving cell migration, proliferation, collagen matrix deposition, and tissue remodeling, all of which are intricately linked to inflammation and angiogenesis.
