To test the hypothesis that concentration polarization of atherogenic lipids may occur in the arterial system and probe the effect of endothelial cells (ECs). A modifier with local stenosis was developed. The luminal surface LDL concentration at the distal of stenosis was analyzed with numerical stimulation and was measured by confocal microscopy. ECs were incubated with low density lipoprotein(LDL). Then, ECs were exposed to shear stress(15dyn/cm2) and F-actin was examined by fluorescence staining.
