Doxorubicin (DOX) is a potent and available antitumor therapeutic agent; however, its clinical application is limited due to its cardiotoxicity. Preliminary evidence suggests that hydrogen sulfide (H2S) may exert protective effects on DOX-induced cardiotoxicity.
